Obituary for Norma Jean Stevens

Norma Jean Stevens, born on May 17,1934 In Rush Fork/Big Otter, WV to the late Harry and Gertrude Keener, passed away at age 85 on November 7, 2019 In Beckley, WV.
Norma Jean worked for many years at G.C. Murphy's In Rainelle, WV. Norma Jean was the loving wife of 54 years to Freddie Flint Stevens. Norma Jean and Fred lived In Grassy Meadows, WV on the Stevens property where she loved to hang multiple feeders for many hummingbirds who returned every year. She will always be remembered for her delicious apple pies, her love of God's creatures and her beautiful handmade quilts. She was a serious doll collector and also loved to plant flowers. Norma Jean supported her husband, Fred, in his maple syrup business and was diligent about canning every year as well.
Norma Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Flint Stevens. She is survived by two brothers, Dana Keener and wife, Mary; Harry Joe Keener and wife, Libby and also two sons, Robin Lee Holcomb and wife, Della; Jewel Holcomb, Jr. and wife, Laura of WV. She is also survived by a large and loving extended family of in-laws and friends, and was blessed with numerous nephews, nieces, 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
According to her wishes, Norma Jean's body will be laid to rest beside her husband at McElhenney Community Church in Grassy Meadows, WV.
